two days + endless possibilities
We're hitting the road and heading south to New Orleans for the NOLA Workshop this January where we'll combine photography, education, and community in one epic weekend. We'll host styled engagement shoots on cobblestone roads and in-home boudoir sessions with hazy sunlight streaming through tall windows. That's in addition to two deep-dive workshops on hot industry topics, nights out on the town, and a community of women who support each other from the heart.
If you love old world themed settings, beignets, and smooth jazz — we'll see you in New Orleans.
When: January 7-10
Where: French Quarter, New Orleans, Louisiana
day 1: the posing workshopit's time to stand out
If you've ever been at a loss as to what to do next with your couples or photo subject, that's what we're here to fix. Learn the ins and outs of flattering the body, new ways to prompt your subject to engage with you and the camera, and how to take your images from everyday to extraordinary. This workshop includes several styled shoots — both at the mansion and on the streets of the historic French Quarter. We'll work with two couples, a portrait model, and a boudoir model.
day 2: the editing workshopit's time to find your style
We'll take the images from Day 1's posing styled shoot to edit together on the big screen. We'll cover all the editing nooks and crannies — from skin textures and tones, to psychology of color, to breaking down the tools in Lightroom. You will walk away more confident and competent with your tools, as well as with a better idea of how you want your images to look. (As well as HOW to make them look that way!)

is this an overnight workshop?
Absolutely! We have reserved a gorgeous Greek Revival Mansion in the northern part of the French Quarter. Our workshops will take place here, and each attendee will also be provided with a bed. Attendees will most likely share a Queen sized bed with another attendee.
Do you provide lunch during the workshops?
You betcha! We know better than most that creating makes you hungry, so we'll provide two lunches plus plenty of snacks and drinks to keep you hydrated and happy throughout the day. (That's in addition to breakfasts!)
is this workshop only for women?
Paloma Collective is a community of women, for women, by women. However, we will not turn anyone away if they are looking to learn and grow!
Is my ticket refundable?
Unfortunately, your ticket is NOT refundable, but you can transfer it to someone else if you cannot attend.
What do I need to bring with me?
Bring your camera, laptop or other editing device, and an open spirit of curiosity and kindness.
Since this is an overnight trip, please bring everything you need to be comfortable away from home for three nights.
Is airfare included in my ticket price?
Nope! Booking your flight is totally up to you. We know that everyone likes to fly differently, so we leave you with the freedom to travel how you want. We will provide the address to the mansion in the weeks prior to the workshop, so you can plan.
“Nicole and Leah are the sweetest and I was blown away by how dedicated they are to making sure we all had something to take away from the workshop. The styled shoot portion was executed beautifully and the learning experience was priceless. I learned so much not only as a photographer, but as a videographer as well and I'm very confident in saying that my business will be growing tremendously because of these two women. If you are considering attending a Paloma Collective workshop just go for it!”
